This is so badass. The sound is great to showoff and make the other guys jealous . I'll defintly buy another. Only problem is its not water proof.
Other Upgrades/Parts Recommended by Reviewer: I like all the upgrades. I would however stay away from anything that has brass bushings. Those things are junk. They fall out quick. I had some boom racing steering links and the brass bushings fell out in 15 to 20 mins of the first outting i took it on.overall

I got this after viewing a ton of videos, and reading forum posts in how it actually worked for others. I ended up buying this product as it actually works very well, and is easy enough to change the sound files on to fit your own needs. I'd recommend this unit to anyone wanting to get that extra touch of realism from any ground based rc.

I bought the ESS-ONE for my scale truck and i love it. The software and setup was easy to use and it sounds great. I cannot drive without it now. Also the shipping was fast.

Great little engine plug & play sound module with realistic engine and auxiliary sounds. Loses one star for not being waterproof and some sound files you have to pay for. 4/5

This module is the best that I have come across. The fact that you can choose which engine sound you run with is so good, and the sound itself is very realistic. As I drive my truck FPV and record the video from the on-board camera. You can see the result here....http://youtu.be/UVX8bOjsIS8

The ESS-One is nice. Easy to install and setup, sound quality is good too. Size is ok and fit great under the body of a Scx10 Jeep Wrangler But I'm a little bit disappointed that there's only a PC software. So I'm unable to change the soundfiles. A short course v8 sound doesn't really fit for a scale crawler. For me the ESS-One is useless at the moment. I need to get a windows copy for my mac. If you are an Apple user it could happen that you need to spend a lot of money for a windows copy and a software to run windows like bootcamp or parallels desktop. I tried some other software to get the ESS-One software running on a mac but it didn't work for me. Therefore I rate this product with 3 points.

I find the ESS-One sound system to be very innovative. I've been in the hobby for 20 years and always thought gasoline cars are more fun than electric cars, mainly because of the engine sound. This unit is potentially a game changer. The only issue I have is the extra weight and space it adds to my buggy. The unit is small enough to fit underneath the body, but I won't be using it for my races anytime soon. People at the track have no idea what I was running until I showed them this unit... which is pretty cool. Overall I give it a 5 star because of the cool factor and realism it adds to R/C racing!

I really like this sound system. Something new to play with. Very realistic sound system. Was quite easy to install.... Just plug and play. Loud too!
